Terms of use

These terms govern your use of Banner Lands, the game published by XMind Labs (see the legal notice). By playing, you accept them. The terms of the App Store or Google Play also apply to what you download and buy there.

Your account

• Banner Lands is meant for players aged 13 and over.
• A guest account is created when you first open the game. Link it to Sign in with Apple, Google or an email address to keep it if you change phones.
• You are responsible for what is done with your account. Selling, buying or sharing accounts is not allowed.

The licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play Banner Lands for your own entertainment. The game, its world, its images, sounds and texts belong to XMind Labs.

Gems, packs and other virtual items

• Gems, packs and every other item in the game are a licence to use content inside Banner Lands. They have no value in money, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be transferred to another account.
• Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, at the price the store shows. Refunds follow their rules (see Support).
• Some packs can be bought once a day or once a week; the game says so on each offer.
• Under EU law you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. By asking for the content to be delivered at once, you agree that this right ends when it is delivered.
• We may change the game's balance, items and prices of in-game items over time, to keep it fair and alive.

How to behave

Play fair and treat other players with respect. In particular, do not:

• cheat, use bots, modified clients or exploits, or attack the game's servers;
• harass, threaten or insult other players, or post hateful, sexual or illegal content;
• share someone's personal information, or pretend to be someone else, including XMind Labs staff;
• advertise, spam, or sell items or accounts.

Every message can be reported and every player can be blocked from the game. Chat and mail pass through a word filter. We may warn, mute, suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, in proportion to what was done.

What you write

You keep the rights to what you write. You allow us to show it to the players it is addressed to, inside the game, for as long as the game keeps it.

The service

Banner Lands is an online game in development. It needs an internet connection, may be interrupted for maintenance, and will change over time. If we ever close the game, we will announce it in the game at least 30 days before.

Liability

We do our best to keep the game running and your progress safe, but we cannot promise it will never fail. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that consumer law gives you, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

Ending

You may stop playing and delete your account at any time (see Delete your account). We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law, without taking away the protection of the law of your country of residence. If a dispute arises, write to us first at support@bannerlands.com. As a consumer, you may also turn to a consumer mediator free of charge, who will be named here before the game is released.

Changes

We may update these terms. The new version is published on this page with its date, and a change that matters to you is announced in the game.
